This Bolete mushroom is associated with oak trees; mid to late summer. Olive brown spore print. Exudes a clear yellow liquid when young and fresh. Deep, soft reticulation covers the stem. Vivid colors of red, yellow and orange. One of the most visually fascinating mushrooms out there. Boletus frostii and Exsudoporus frostii are synonyms. |
