Came upon this raggedy all white, nondescript mushroom at the end of a hike and almost passed it by. But the faint bluing at the center of the cap caught my eye and I snapped a couple pics and collected the single specimen. Oak/beech woods; fall. White spore print. Large stature. Blue and brown coloration at center of cap. Gills attached by a notch. Swollen base. |
